Breakthrough
Well... well... well.... There had been breakthrough in the condition of the girl with PUO. First, the fever seems subsiding..... that's the most great news for me.... so my stress could be relieved a little bit. Secondly, for making the correct diagnosis, we have more information from our laboratory tests. The bone marrow examination showed no evidence of malignancy and the autoimmune markers of ANCA and anti-smooth muscle antibody were both positive. After some discussion, we have also seek the expert advise from the University paediatric immunologist and the girl is lucky enough to have their expert consultation. She will be transferred to them on this Sunday morning.
I wish this girl could have the correct diagnosis be made so as earlier definitive treatment could be given. Moreover, I could learn more and enrich my limited knowledge. Remember the days when I was in the medical school, the professor told us that we learnt from our patient. And it is surely what is meant...!

Disharmony!
After observing and experiencing for several months. I discovered that there was real disharmony inside our department. Everyone had his/her own friends/enemies..... so it's unevitable to have this to happen. But if it go to affect the working standard/quality of care, then this problem should be promptly deal with.
As one of the most junior staff of the department, I think I could only contribute a little bit by not trying to make the whole matter worse. But for the solution of this problem, I think our boss should at least to realise it and deal with it. Otherwise, the department will be torn apart.
Every simple and minor thing seems to creat trouble..... and I think apart from setting up clear rule/guideline within the department, it should be firmly reinforced. Moreover, the underlying logistics should be made more 'transparent' to everybody to avoid the accuse of being 'black box' operation.

Dining out tonight....... Just a mess!!!
Here is the description found on one local website..... but I'm sure that it's really a fake.....!!!!
"Elite Concept's most ambitious restaurant yet, mi (LG2 Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong, 2265 8308), opened about a month ago in the spot where the Rainforest cafe? used to be. It's an immense undertaking by any standards: rice is such a universal foodstuff that the combinations of possible dishes are near endless, while the physical space occupied by the restaurant is a whopping 16,000 square feet. In addition, there's the added novelty of a hi-tech spin on buffet dining. After being shown to your table, you're handed a 'smart card' and then you can go and check out the wares of a multitude of different vendors offering a wide range of Asian cuisine. Once you've decided what you want, you select the dish on a computer touch screen. The order is then stored on your card and delivered to your table when ready. There's also a DJ booth providing music on weekend evenings and other entertainment like mini-concerts and fashion shows are also in the works."
And Here is my description .........
The environment is ok.... Fine decoration but the seats were sucked.... very uncomfortable seats in fact. The waiter/waitress is just so so..... no enlightening faces. The service is below average...... the food is really not worth for money, especially they also charged for the 10% service charge! #!$^@!@#
The quantity of the food is pretty poor and the quality was sucked.... Nothing special about the taste of the cuisine, particularly would like to mentioned is that the taste was really bad. Even the food stall at the street side could provide such quality of food (but they are worth for the money since they charged much cheaper).
The only one thing worth mentioning is the way that you made your order. You could choose among various food counter with the touch screen menu and place the bill card on the card reader to make the order. It's really a very fresh concept in town. But if they would like to be more user friendly, it's better to have the pictures of the dishes shown on the screen rather than just the names.
Another thing worth mentioning is that there was live band performance and you could actually made your song request for your beloved one.
If you are searching a fine dining place for good taste, please don't go. But if you are interested in trying for new way of ordering (it's quite funny indeed), then it's a good place.
